In 1991 Gary Wyatt, founder of The Green Board Game Company decided to turn his “Number-plate game” into a Board Game. It was here that his first board game, Alpha Animals was devised, a game that is still available today. 
After 16 years of developing a plethora of successful games, GBG launched a new gameplay concept: BrainBox World, which gave birth to the now world renowned BrainBox range consisting of over 50 different titles, sold across 60 countries and published in 30 languages!

What’s new? Introducing BrainBox Transport, BrainBox Predators and BrainBox English – GBG are further increasing the breadth of their award winning BrainBox range! Each of these new comprehensive editions are as compelling and educational as ever providing an opportunity for families to play across all ages and learn lots as part of the process. 2016 saw the introduction of a new game concept - BrainBox Bounce which will include Mr Men, Little Miss, Animals and Dinosaur versions. This rapid recall memory game involves all players studying a different picture card at the same time and play is ‘bounced’ from player to player until they have all answered question 1 of the card they have studied. Those who answer correctly remain in the game, incorrectly answered cards must be placed in a pile for the winner of the round to collect. The bonus of Bounce is that it includes a spot the difference game as well; can you find 6 differences in each pair of cards? After the success of GBG’s Pre-School BrainBox’s in 2015, they now are adding First Animals and First Homes to their roster of Pre-School product! These new titles are aimed to further increase BrainBox appeal to the Pre-School market, providing a natural progression into the well-known BrainBox family. Another brand new concept in the Pre-School arena is BrainBox Jigsaws. Combining the game play of BrainBox with the satisfaction of completing a puzzle, both Alphabet Jigsaw and Numbers Jigsaw help to develop important skills needed for every young child. Each card jigsaw piece shows an illustrated letter or number, with three questions on the back about the image shown.
